With a prize of £1,000, welders between the ages of 16 and 26 who are either studying at college or employed are invited to take part in a welding competition to show off their welding skills.
Launched three years ago, Weld Off, was set up by equipment manufacturer Morris Site Machinery and this year hopes to celebrate some British milestones in this year’s competition by providing the young welders with the theme: God Save the Queen.
Four teams will make the final and their challenges will include a question and answer safety round, welding skills section and a creative test. The top prize of £1,000 for the winner’s welding department or place of employment, plus £500 for each member of the winning team.
The deadline for entries is 11 March. To download an entry form, please visit: morrismachinery.co.uk/weld-off.
